Letters from ESTP DECs

Hello, Cadre:

THIS MESSAGE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. NOTE WITH CARE:

ESTP-use computers in ROTC-lab settings may not have unauthorized software loaded. This is collectively true, but applies especially to ANY and ALL share-ware, or file-sharing programs, such as KaZaa, Bearware, Gnutella, and Internet-based gaming software. These programs, when loaded, and whether or not open, may seriously impair Cadet courseware use in the ESTP Destinations Internet environment.

Errors may manifest themselves as:

1. "looping" errors, in which a Cadet seems to cycle over and over a given activity, regardless of acquired score
2. any number of "java" errors, a complete inability in the machine to read the texts and/or diagrams in lessons
3. persistent log-in problems
4. inaccurate reporting functions, including initial- placement and progress-reporting

This list is not exahaustive, but is indicative of the general character of these errors. It is also recommended that NO Cadet-owned machines have these programs loaded, for the above reasons.

Please call our TechHelp team at 888-895-7920 if any of these errors appear, whether persistently or not. Links to HelpDesk email and phone are available at <www.estphelp.com> under the Tech Help button.

It is our intent to distribute this message to all Cadets, in addition to your receipt, here. If you would like assistance in "bulletining" your Cadets through Destinations email, please call or email your Dedicated Consultant for help. Our emails and phones are also available at the above website, under the Educational Help button.
