Management System Software Removal

  1. The Management System can be removed from the v2.5 CD or without the CD.
  2. The management system software removal is divided into two sections A, (A1, A2 and A3), and B, (B1 and B2). Depending on the mode of removal, one of these sections would need to be followed. Section C would need to be completed for both modes of removal. Please take your time to read and follow the steps carefully.
  3. You will need the Computer Administrator Password, as you will reboot the computer during this software removal procedure.
  4. Click the "View image" link at the beginning of each task (where available) to view a graphic of the screen that accompanies the task.

Section A - Removal with the 2.5 CD

Section A1 - Management Client Uninstall

  1. View image. Insert Destinations Management Installation and Support CD in the CD-ROM drive. Immmediately Install Anywhere screen will appear.
  2. View image. Destinations screen will appear.
  3. View image. At the Destinations Management System, click Next.
  4. View image. At the Choose Install Set, select Management System Uninstall and click Install.
  5. View image. At the Uninstall Destinations Internet 2.5 Management Client screen, click on Uninstall.
  6. View image. Uninstallation in Progress screen will appear.
  7. View image. At the Uninstall Complete screen, click Done.

Section A2 - Program Removal

  1. View image. From the Start button, click on Settings, select Control Panel and then select the Add/Remove Programs application.
  2. View image. Scroll down and select the Java Media Framework 1.0.2. Click on the Change/Remove Button, answer Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and at the end of the software removal, click on OK.
  3. View image. Scroll down and select the Java Plug-In 1.1.1. Click on the Change/Remove Button, confirm the file deletion by clicking on Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and at the end of the software removal, click on OK.
  4. View image. Scroll down and select the Native Lesson Player. Click on the Change/Remove Button, confirm the file deletion by clicking on Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and at the end of the software removal, click on OK.
  5. View image. Scroll down and select the Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere 6.0. Click on the Change/Remove Button, confirm the file deletion by clicking on Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and when asked if you want to remove a shared file, click on the Yes To All button, and then Yes. At the end of the software removal, click on OK.

Section A3 - Folder Removal

  1. View image. From the Program Files folder on the primary hard drive (i.e., C:), remove the indicated program folders:
    1. Java Plug-in 1.1
    2. Destinations 2.0
    3. Sybase
  2. View image. From the primary hard drive (i.e., C:), remove the indicated program folders:
    1. JMF 1.0.2
  3. View image. Empty the Recycle Bin and reboot the computer. The software applications have been removed from the computer.

Section B - Removal without a CD

Section B1 - Program Removal

  1. View image. From the Start button, select Settings, select Control Panel and then select the Add/Remove Programs application.
  2. View image. Make sure Change or Remove Programs is selected. Scroll down and select the Destinations Internet Management Client. Click on the Change/Remove Button. The InstallShield Wizard will load and ask if you wish to completely remove the selected applications and all of its components. Click on OK. At the end of the software removal, click on Finish.
  3. View image. Scroll down and select the Java Media Framework 1.0.2. Click on the Change/Remove Button, answer Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and at the end of the software removal, click on OK.
  4. View image. Scroll down and select the Java Plug-In 1.1.1. Click on the Change/Remove Button, confirm the file deletion by clicking on Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and at the end of the software removal, click on OK.
  5. View image. Scroll down and select the Native Lesson Player. Click on the Change/Remove Button, confirm the file deletion by clicking on Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and at the end of the software removal, click on OK.
  6. View image. Scroll down and select the Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere 6.0. Click on the Change/Remove Button, confirm the file deletion by clicking on Yes. The InstallShield Wizard will load, and when asked if you want to remove a shared file, click on the Yes To All button, and then Yes. At the end of the software removal, click on OK.
  7. Close the Add/Remove application, ensure the CD- ROM and disk drives are empty, reboot the computer and log on.

Section B2 - Folder Removal

  • View image. From the Program Files folder on the primary hard drive (i.e., C:), remove the indicated program folders:

    2. Destinations 2.0
    3. Sybase
  • View image. From the primary hard drive (i.e., C:), remove the indicated program folders:
